Anything else we can help you with?
‘Heart of the Community’ Nursery
Local parents love Treetops Oakwood Nursery because of its lovely, ‘local’ community feel. Our long established team make children and parents feel instantly relaxed and settled, helping the transition from home to nursery.
Aside from the statutory framework of learning, we ensure our children get out and about in the community on trips to local parks, children’s centres and also to Springwood Library, Oakwood for story-time and reading sessions. You’ll also see the team out in the community with our younger children in our unique buggy bus!
Our strong partnerships with neighbouring Oakwood Church gives us access to a great space for preschool graduation ceremonies and other festive activities.
Home-From-Home Baby Room
A secure and self-contained baby room on our first floor offers a unique home-from-home experience conceived to feel just like your living room – helping to promote a familiar and reassuring environment.
We understand how important the settling-in process is and our caring Treetops Oakwood team is with you every step of the way, helping to make it as smooth as possible.
Foundations for lifelong Learning
Here at Treetops Oakwood Nursery and Preschool, our aim is to maximise the potential of every child. We do this through a combination of child-led and creative play, introducing gentle routine and structure as children progress through the nursery. We strive to develop happy, independent and confident children with a wide range of educational and social skills.
At Treetops Oakwood we enjoy messy play, sensory play, home corner and role play right through to the pre-school staples of phonics, literacy and elemental mathematics – we’ve got every age and stage of childcare covered. We offer baby workshops for parents and babies up to 1 and we also offer PE sessions for preschool children as part of a school readiness programme to get them fully prepped for the next part of their education adventure!
Our Preschool children tend to go on to neighbouring schools Cavendish Close, Park View, Breadsall Hilltop, Roe Farm and Springwood.
Children at Treetops Oakwood enjoy a secure, cosy garden and an additional spacious hall for a variety of activities.
We offer dance lessons for 1 – 3 year olds and ballet lessons for 2 – 5 year olds. We also offer football lessons for preschool children, designed to stimulate imagination, aid early development skills such as learning colours and numbers, following instructions and playing as a team.
