Anything else we can help you with?
The Childcare of Choice for Local Families
An idyllic village location, secure outdoor spaces, and a committed and highly qualified team are just some of the reasons that make Treetops Castle Garden the first choice for childcare of local parents.
A relatively compact, open-plan setting with all four age groups on one floor creates a home-from-home feel particularly loved and valued by new parents and those with babies. A strong and close childcare team is able to forge close relationships with parents, helping to settle and relax children quickly.
An Exciting Curriculum for Lifelong Learning
Children at Treetops Castle Garden, Nursery, Duffield enjoy a programme of stimulating and exciting activities and experiences, developed in line with the EYFS statutory framework.
There’s messy play, sensory play, construction, junk-modelling, home corners and role play right through to the pre-school staples of phonics, literacy and elemental mathematics. Our aim is to maximise the potential of every child in our care and we have plenty of fun along the way!
Forest School Experiences
Treetops Castle Garden, Duffield Nursery enjoys wonderful outdoor spaces within secure, gated grounds of the nursery. Our near-countryside location means we also enjoy lots of outings to nearby parks including Eyes Meadow recreational ground.
Our progressive manager has also introduced regular Forest School experiences, an inspirational process that offers children at Treetops Castle Garden the opportunity to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland and natural environment with trees.
The cook is a key member of our childcare team and involves the children in cookery and baking lessons – a fantastic opportunity to teach the children practical life skills and a healthy attitude towards nutrition. It’s also a great way to subtly introduce and cement some basic mathematical concepts like weighing and measurement.
We also enjoy lots of creative play activities; Messy Mondays with our babies and toddlers, Twisty Tuesday movement classes for 2-3 year olds and regular trips to Duffield library for our preschool children.
Ballet and baby yoga are available as extra-curricular activities
Links with Local Schools
Our preschool children typically go on to neighbouring schools including William Gilbert Endowed CE Primary School, Duffield Meadows Primary School and Little Eaton Primary School.
Chloe has been working in childcare for more than 13 years and has experience at all levels of nursery care. She’s even set-up and launched a new nursery in London before joining the Treetops family.
